Hotpencil Press and Wow Cafe Theater invite you to a taste of the British female-to-male transgender experience.
Drawing inspiration from Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues, using verbatim theatre to uncover taboos around female sexuality, sex and empowerment, and Calpernia Adams’ Beautiful Daughters exploring the trans female experience, There Is No Word For It, takes a contemporary slice of the trans male experience examining lifestyles,              language, sexuality and sets it center stage.
There Is No Word For It explores sexuality, daily life and finding a new language. With a desire to discover words for the unmentionable, this book unlocks stories that have never been told.
There Is No Word For It aims to entertain but also challenge prejudice.
Serge Nicholson, Dr. Bridgeman, and Tom O’Tottenham from the original London cast will read from There Is No Word For It a contemporary collection of real-life stories. Come and listen to tales of Childhood and Family, Transitioning Bodies, Male Privilege, Sex, Love, Medical Settings and What's In Your Pants?  Then stay for a talkback!
Come and listen. Ask questions. Delve into the UK trans and queer culture.
